19 April 2016$3m contract wins for IQE’s Infrared DivisionMilton Keynes, UK. 19 April 2016: IQE plc (AIM: IQE, 'IQE' or the 'Group'), the leading global supplier of advanced semiconductor wafer products and wafer services to the semiconductor industry, that during March 2016 it has received record volume purchase orders worth just over $3M, to be delivered over the next twelve months, for its indium antimonide (InSb) and gallium antimonide (GaSb) substrate materials. Contact: 19 April 2016IQE’s Infrared division presents invited papers at SPIE DCSIQE plc, the leading global supplier of advanced semiconductor wafer products and services to the semiconductor industry, will present two invited papers on recent key developments in advanced infrared technologies at SPIE Defense and Commercial Sensing conference (DCS). IQE’s Infrared business unit has established a strong presence at SPIE DCS and this year has been invited to present two papers based on developments and commercialisation of advanced infrared materials. Invited paper 1: Bulk Growth and Surface Characterization of Epitaxy Ready Cadmium Zinc Telluride substrates for use in IR imaging applications. Covering new product development in the area of cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) IR substrate technology through a partnership between IQE’s US substrate manufacturing subsidiary, Galaxy Compound Semiconductors and Redlen Technologies of Victoria, BC, Canada (www.redlen.com) a leader in the manufacture of CZT based radiation detectors. Invited paper 2: A study of the preparation of epitaxy-ready polished surfaces of (100) Gallium Antimonide substrates demonstrating ultra-low surface defects for MBE growth. SPIE DCS runs from 17 to 21 April at the Convention Center in Baltimore, USA and is expected to attract around 5,000 visitors.
